Photo Artwork Generator - SNC1OOP

In electronic manufacturing, especially the printed circuit board area, graphics play an important role in fabrication and design. Traditionally, they are prepared on an enlarged scale by hand and reduced to fit the application. The SNC100P Photo Artwork Generator uniquely eliminates the necessity for reduction by producing a highly accurate 1:1 artwork master.

An unexposed photographic film on the N/C controlled vacuum table located inside its light-tight console. A shutter-controlled light source exposes the film through a selectable aperture disk also controlled by the N/C unit. Any shape of image may be discretely flashed, or, using round apertures, lines may be drawn. According to the control selected, the output produced can range from simple straight lines to complex curves and angles. Both tape programs and graphics produced will accurately relate to work done on other SLO-SYN Positioning Systems.

The SCCIOOPX Photo Artwork Generator with SLO-SYN Continuous Path Contouring Control prepares film artwork involving arcs and slopes without need of computer assistance. The control unit has linear and circular interpolation to permit complex patterns to be done with a minimum of programming. Any line slope can be accomplished simply by programming the X and Y axis increments from the starting point to the finish point. Any arc up to one full quadrant can be done in a single block of tape information describing the X and Y axis increments and locating the center of the arc. The N/C unit has plug-in solid-state circuitry for reliability and ease of service.

Examples

Some negative and positive artwork samples

Above are some negative and positive artwork samples prepared by numerically controlled straight line (SNC100) and continuous path (SCC100) SLO-SYN Photo Artwork Generators. Precision artwork can be made on film or plate sizes up to 12 x 18 inches with a choice of 50 tape selective apertures on a replaceable disc.

As part of the SLO-SYN N/C Positioning Systems concept, tape program data that applies to the artwork can be used in drilling and component insertion machines with a 1: 1 correlation of all operations.
